Choosing A Countertop

When choosing a countertop, there are 3 key points to determine what is right for you. Discovering where your needs lie will allow you to choose a material that meets them.

Budget

Deciding how much you’re willing to spend will allow you to choose a counterop’s materials in your price range. Laminate is a classic choice for those on a limited budget. Granite will cost more, but comes with many benefits. Material is not the only cost involved in your countertop. More complex projects will require more time and labor, which should be budgeted for as well.

Function

How will you be using your countertop? A gourmet chef will need to choose a counterop with a much more durable surface for cooking. Those with no time to cook may want a countertop with less maintenance.

Style

While the look of the material is an important consideration for everyone, it may rank higher for others. Some options offer more artistic expressiveness and others can offer a more conservative, traditional look.

How It Works

Once you have selected a product and decided on color we will take over from there.

1. Template/Measure:

We will schedule a day and time to meet you at your home to do a measurement and if necessary make a template of your project. This is all done digitally so there will be no need to tear out your old countertops. We do however need you to remove all items from your old countertops so that we may get accurate measurements. If you have new cabinets we will require you to have all tools and materials removed from the cabinets.

2. Fabrication:

At this point we will finalize all drawings with you and order the materials necessary to fabricate your new countertop. This is a process and can take as long as 2 weeks just to get your material. Once we have your materials we generally fabricate your job the following week.

3. Installation:

Once all fabrication is done we will call you and schedule a time to install your new countertop. Most installs can be completed in a single day. Although we do not require you to stay home while we are working, we do require you to be home once the job is complete. At this point we would like you to inspect our work and please feel free to ask questions.
